About The Author
Peter Lynch is the Met Éireann Professor of Meteorology in the School of Mathematical Sciences at University College Dublin. He is also Director of the UCD Meteorology & Climate Centre. He has been interested for many years in developing new methods for computer weather forecasting. He is also interested in the history of numerical weather prediction, and has written a monograph on Lewis Fry Richardson. His scientific website is here.
At the start of his ramble round Ireland, Peter was the Deputy Director of Met Éireann in Glasnevin. By the time he completed it, he had moved to University College Dublin. He lives in Glenageary, County Dublin.
